Jacob’s interest in antiques was fuelled by having spent his formative years shadowing his father, Jeroen, around auction houses and sales.

 

His own interest in design and history meant that he developed a particular passion for 20th century furniture and decorative items, where the evolution of the antiques of tomorrow could be visualised and explored through near contemporary sources rather than via the timeworn manuscripts that – in part – document more ancient artefacts.

An introduction to The Pantiles Arcade opened Jacob’s eyes to the potential for the venue, and he’s eagerly embraced the opportunity to become a part of the exciting venture, hoping to become an integral part of its growth.
